Ted Slot Game - Not Just a Major Motion Picture!
If you're a comedy lover then 2012 would have been a big year for you. From the moment the major motion picture Ted launched, it became an instant hit. So much so, that they eventually released a sequel. It was only a matter of time before someone came up with a slot game and we were half expecting it to be NetEnt. Blueprint Gaming actually took up the challenge. The thing about movie-themed slots is that they can sometimes be a bit of a letdown. Especially if you go into them as a huge fan of the film, with high expectations. Which is why we have come up with this Ted Slot review. Is the game as good as the movie? You're going to have to keep reading to find out.

Ted RTP, Details and Wager Limits
This Ted slot machine has a standard 5x3 grid, medium volatility and 20 pay lines. Nothing particularly unique here. The bet amounts do, however, offer players a good amount of flexibility. It ranges from a minimum bet of $/R/R0 up to a maximum bet of $/R/R2,000. It gets better though. The maximum win from a single game is R/R/R4,500,000 or x10,000 your wager, whichever is reached first in the Ted slot game.
It's not all roses though. Unfortunately, this specific slot doesn’t give players the option to choose the value or number of coins per line. Luckily they haven't left out that good old Autoplay feature. You can set the Autoplay feature on automatic spins from 10 to 100, and even apply a loss or win limit. If you happen to trigger free spins or a bonus round, the Ted slot machine autoplay will stop automatically. We wouldn't expect otherwise.
Ted Slot RTP
Calculated on this slot’s long-term payouts, Ted Slot has a theoretical return to player of 95.80%. It is just slightly under the 96% industry average, so it doesn’t necessarily raise any red flags. Compared to other games based on films like Jumanji Slot by NetEnt, it does still fall short. We're talking disparities of 1 or 2% though which for most isn't detrimental. Especially when you start to look at the bigger picture. RTP isn't everything, there is so much more to the Ted online slot as we are about to find out.
Ted Audio and Design Features – Vibrant & Quirky, Just Like the Movie!
Being fans of the actual movie, we went into the game with certain expectations. If you know anything about Ted then you'll understand exactly what we mean. Ted Slot may not be as loud as the movie but we were pleased to see touches of quirk added in here and there. Blueprint got the fun aspect right too with their choice in melody, it's definitely jolly. As long as you keep spinning that is. We're not too sure about the bouts of silence in between. Especially when you consider the full-on teddy bear that knows no limits.
The audio falls short but the vibrant graphics do make up for this in many ways. They're perfectly aligned with the theme. The Ted slot game is in fact set in the teddy bear's apartment. Combine that with Ted symbols such as a duck, his wife and Ted light beers. You could almost imagine this being a scene taken straight out of the movie. They could have done more with the low paying symbols but at least they have made things colourful and bright.
It's simple and entertaining, similar to the bear's actual life, this is what we love about Ted slot. Placing bets couldn’t be more comfortable as it’s located to the left of the screen and can be changed by just a simple click. The spin button is handy on the right-hand side, ready for us. Ted slot machine can also be played on mobile devices. Just don't go comparing it to the likes of NetEnt's Epic Viking slot. You'll be grievously disappointed.
Special Features and Games on Ted Slot
The Ted online slot machine comes packed with multipliers and Ted bonus features. We particularly like how original Blueprint has saught to be here. Their visuals may not be particularly unique but they sure have made up for it here. Some of the in-game bonuses are actually animated. There is just so much going on here.
For starters, the Wild Ted symbols come in the form of Grocery Spin Wilds, Colossal Wild and Standard Wilds. As is always the case, they can be substituted for other symbols, except bonus and scatters. Now here's the fun part. It may seem like Ted is sleeping but if you stick around for long enough, you might end up waking him up. In turn, he'll trigger a bonus of some form. We have listed the different Ted Slot bonus modifiers below.
- Ted Laser Gun Wilds: turns the symbols into wild symbols when hit.
- Ted Beer Streak: reels are covered in beer to re-shuffle combinations.
- Ted Psychedelic Super Spin: reels are covered in hookah pipe smoke, adding in Ted symbols which transform into one matching combination
- Ted Psychedelic Colossal Spin: similar to the above, however, once the smoke disappears, the symbols will combine to make a colossal symbol win.
- Ted Psychedelic Bonus Boost: similar to the above, however, once the smoke disappear additional bonus symbols appear on the reels.
- Ted TV Remote Symbol Streak: causes the reels to re-spin, however, the triggers symbols will remain in position.
Ted Slot Bonus Features
Minigames are also big with this one. The Ted Thunder Buddies Bonus is awarded when 3 or more Ted Bonus Scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels. Winning isn't as easy as it appears, these symbols will not payout directly. They will, however, take you to a bonus game round where you’ll need to spin a wheel to see which 1 of the 5 Thunder Buddies Bonuses you will receive. Players can then choose to collect their bonus or gamble it. The 5 possible unique Thunder Buddy Bonuses are as follows:
- Ted Wheel of Fortune Bonus: For this bonus, players are required to choose a Ted, who could reveal an arrow, multiplier boost or spin. The Multiplier boost multiplies your multiplier value on the wheel, while the arrow allows players to move on to another level where they can gain more significant wins. If Ted reveals a spin, then you’re be able to spin the wheel again.
- Ted Bar Crawl Bonus: This bonus puts players in a city-themed bonus game which is split into 2 stages, stage 1 is a Ted board game, while stage 2 is the Big Money Bonus stage.
- Ted Super Mart Free Spins Bonus: Here players are awarded 5 free spins where they can collect Ted Wild Symbols for a better payout. It’s good to note that you cannot re-trigger the free spins with this bonus.
- Ted Free Spins Bonus: Players are awarded with free spins, where after each spin player get a chance at the bonus grid, which has various cash prizes, extra free spins and extra wilds. Unlike the above bonus, free spins can be triggered here and always have a 40 win pay line.
- Big Money Bonus: If players manage to get this bonus then Ted pops up and offers them various multipliers to choose from, players then get the option to select whether to re-spin or collect the multiplier already received.
Play Ted Slot and Take a Leaf Out of His Book!
For the love of Beer, Bongs and of course the talking teddy bear that really knows no limits. Of course, being a video slot, Blueprint has had to tame things down quite a bit. We have seen this in our Ted slot review. Sound or graphics are not comparable to the movie. They're just not on the same level. The in-game bonuses though could just make the Ted slot game better than the actual motion picture! You're more likely to leave with a fuller wallet that's for sure!
