Unikrn isn’t a new name to the gaming scene. Dating back to 2014, the brand has gained quite a reputation in the world of esports betting. They are now looking to diversify their product by launching an online casino. What’s more, they’ve taken a unique approach and we can safely say that Unikrn Casino is like no other. Being different is always risky and we’re here to see whether it has paid off in our Unikrn Casino review.

Unikrn Casino Welcome Bonus
Although they’re an esports focused site, we were pleased to see that there is a Unikrn Casino welcome bonus up for grabs. With a mix of free spins and bonus money, it actually exceeds our expectations. With the opportunity to win up to R/R1,100 in bonus funds, the deposit bonus has been kept rather mediocre. It is, however, worth pointing out that this is actually a 300% match deposit bonus. There used to be a Unikrn Casino no deposit bonus but they have recently changed the offer. Players are now required to make a deposit to be eligible for free spins.

It may not be massive, but the welcome bonus still gives new players some options. What really interests us though are Unikrn’s bonus policy which we have underlines below.
Bonus Terms for New Players
- Minimum deposit: R/R200
- Deposit bonus expires: within 7 days
- Wagering requirements: 30 x Bonus
- Wagering requirements must be met: within 90 days
- Wagering requirements for free spins: 45 x Bonus
- Wagering requirements for free spins must be met: within 14 days
- Free Spins offer is not applicable to: players from Indonesia, South Africa or Slovenia
While the new player bonus may not be something to write home about, the terms and conditions quite possibly are. The wagering requirements on the deposit bonus, for instance, are some of the lowest you can expect to find online, aside from those wager-free online casinos. Plus, Unikrn is giving players up to 90 days to complete them. All games contribute fully to wagering requirements. What's more, for the free spins bonus there are no cashout limits which isn't something you tend to come by. This seems to be a casino that wants to give new customers that little boost to get them started.
Are there any Other Promotions?
If you’re wondering if there are any promotions for Unikrn’s existing players, then the answer is yes. Note that we have refrained from using the word casino here. This is because the majority of bonuses target e-sports bettors, particularly the ones listed on their main promotions page.
The good news is that on a closer analysis we were able to find one bonus available for online casino players. This is called the ‘Refer a Friend Bonus’. At the time of writing, Unikrn Casino is rewarding existing players for each friend they refer. The even better news is that there is no cap of the number of friends referred.
An unconventional existing player promotion for what seems to be an equally unconventional casino. While the offer might not replace a generic free spins offer or reload bonus, it’s definitely something. What’s more, considering Unikrn’s approach to their other areas, we wouldn’t be surprised to see more casino-related promotions crop up as they gain popularity. In the meantime, we suggest signing up to their newsletter to keep up to date with any new bonus offers.
Is Unikrn Casino Safe?
Unikrn Casino may be somewhat new, but the brand has been around since 2014. The Isle of Man Gambling license that they were granted in 2018, has raised the operator to the next level in terms of security. As well as having to fulfill a list of criteria, the online casino is subject to regular monitoring to ensure that everything remains in check.
Take responsible gambling, for instance, Unikrn links directly to Gamcare in their footer section. Further links to several other organisations that support problem gambling can be found on their dedicated page. As expected, they have also included privacy and cookie policies.
Their terms of service section sums up all of the steps Unikrn Casino is taking to ensure safety. We would have liked to see this same transparency applied to Fair Gaming. For the time being, there’s only a brief mention of this in their terms. This said they do link out to the Esports Integrity Commission. Perhaps as their casino product grows, they’ll consider adding in a seal of approval from the likes of eCogra or iTech Labs.
Payment Methods – A Unique Approach
This isn’t what we’d call your standard casino site. We’ve seen this a few times now in our Unikrn Casino review. Their approach to banking is where things become even more unique. First off, they’re classified as a bitcoin online casino with the key difference being that they also offer their own cryptocurrency. It’s important to understand that the site offer both UnikoinSilver and UnikoinGold. The first is a free currency which can be used for e-sports betting only. UKG on the other hand can be used to place real money wagers.
For countries where bitcoin is not accepted, cash transactions are also an option. In fact, while most of the payment methods are focused on crypto, e-wallets like Neteller and Skrill are also available, alongside bank transfers. Unfortunately, Unikrn Casino doesn’t provide detailed information on their approach to banking. We have however listed some of the main details below.
Unikrn Withdrawal Time & Limits
- Bitcoin wallets – Instant
- E-wallets – up to 24 hours
- Fast Bank transfers – up to 24 hours
- Withdrawal limit - R/R350

*some withdrawal fees apply
Players who opt for bitcoin can expect instant cashouts at Unikrn Casino. Certain fees do apply though such as for UnicoinGold which comes with a fixed charge of 1 UKG per transaction. As for the rest of the payment options, the 24-hour transaction is still one of the fastest players will come by.

A Growing Casino Games Lobby
When we first reviewed the brand, they had less than 100 games. The Unikrn Casino lobby was one of the smaller ones around. We're pleased to see that they have lived up to their promises and brought Playtech on board. They still haven’t done anything in terms of games filters although they have created a few categories such as ‘top’ and ‘most popular’. Considering that the library is growing, players may start to have issues with navigation.
In terms of the actual casino games, most of the focus has gone into online slots. They have yet to collaborate with top software providers like Microgaming or NetEnt. For the time being Pragmatic Play is one of the headliners, alongside several other smaller brands. The good news is that they have recently joined the list of Playtech casinos online. As we initially hoped, this has meant the addition of progressive slots like Age of the Gods. Their jackpot slots section has been elevated to the next level.
Aside from slots, the only other casino games available at Unikrn are blackjack, blackjack and roulette. Again, the choice used to be limited here but they have added quite a few variations lately. We have yet to see VIP tables added into the mix. If you’re looking to play online poker, bingo, craps or any other casino game online, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Being relatively new though, we do expect the Unikrn casino lobby to grow.

Unikrn Casino App – Download or Play Instantly
While we’ve seen a few cracks in other areas, the Unikrn mobile casino site is one we cannot fault. The web-app is modern looking and responsive. What’s more, the games lobby has a menu bar at the bottom of the page which makes it easier to navigate on mobile than on desktop. Once again, the selection of games is small but mobile players have full access to the all of the titles available on desktop.
Other than playing instantly, there’s also an option to download the Unikrn Casino app on iOS or Android devices. It’s worth pointing out that the casino product is only limited to a select few regions. Most countries won’t be able to access this from the mobile app. For those who can Unikrn mobile casino, below we provide a step by step guide of how to download the native app
How to Download the Unikrn Casino Android App
- Check that Unikrn Casino is available in your region.
- Access the mobile site from your device.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the ‘Download App’ button.
- Click the ‘Download Android APK’ button.
- Ensure that your mobile settings are updated to allow the installation of apps from unknown sources.
- Look for the Uncorn.apk file in your Downloads folder.
- Click the file and the app will install automatically.
For iOS users, the process is similar except that they won’t need to download an APK file. Instead, mobile players are redirected to the App Store where they can follow the onscreen instructions. Alternatively, players can search for the Unikrn App manually. Once the app is downloaded, customers can sign in using their existing credentials.
Live Casino – Just Launched!
When we first took a look at Unikrn, there weren't any live dealer games available. Considering how small their casino games lobby was at the time, we weren't exactly surprised. We did, however, receive the news that the online casino had plans to collaborate with Playtech. And we're pleased to see that they lived up to their promise quite quickly.
Unikrn live casino is now available and it might just be the next step for the company. The choice still isn't that great but there are at least 15 options to choose from. We were somewhat disappointed to see that the notorious Age of the Gods Live Roulette has been left out or any VIP games for that matter. For the time being, players are able to choose from several live roulette and live blackjack variations as well as a few other options. Unfortunately, live baccarat fans will have to look elsewhere.
So while they have listened to players demands, Unikrn's live casino still needs some work.
VIP & Loyalty Rewards – Esports Focused
Similarly, to other sections in this review, Unikrn Casino players are at a bit of a loss when it comes to a VIP program. Esports bettors, on the other hand, are able to earn rewards on specific games which can then be used to win Loot. The fact that they have some form of loyalty rewards scheme in place for their main target audience is good news in itself.
For the time being, Unikrn Casino’s main focus is on acquiring new customers. Once they have enough existing players who have proven their loyalty, we can expect this to be something they look into. This tends to be the case with new casino sites.
Customer Support – 24/7 Availability
Throughout this review, several queries have come up. While we’d like to see them become more transparent to start off with, the Unikrn customer support team is efficient. Firstly, they have a help section which is extremely detailed. The manual search bar at the top of the page makes it easy to find an answer to your exact topic. Should you still need to get in touch, then your next step is heading to the ‘contact’ page.
Unikrn live chat is available 24 hours a day, which for a newer online casino, isn’t something you’d expect. They state that their average response time is anywhere between 15 minutes and 1 hour. When we tested it out ourselves, we received a reply in even less time. Other than live chat, the other option is to fill out the online web form. Unikrn can also be reached on any of their social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, amongst several others.
Considering that they are already established in esports, perhaps the next step for Unikrn customer service would be to add in phone support. Then again, the fact that they provide round the clock support is already more than enough in our books.

Only Available in Selected Markets
While Unikrn may be a global brand, their online casino is only available in a handful of countries. South Africa and South Africa are two examples, but we have yet to see any efforts made to target these regions specifically. For starters, neither CAD nor NZD are excepted but we’d also like to see some country exclusive payment options added in. Interac, for example, is becoming a necessity amongst South African casino players online.
Speaking of payment methods, the long list of cryptocurrencies should go down well with Asian markets like South Africa and Indonesia. That said, the site is not available in either of their languages. Other than that, Unikrn Casino is also available in several EU countries. As we said earlier though, we have yet to see any indications of what we’d call feature markets.

Unikrn Casino Verdict: A Long Way to Go
While they may be an established name in esports betting, this Unikrn Casino review goes to show that their casino-related product isn’t yet up to par. The fact that we already have proof that they intend to expand is enough for us to call this a ‘works in progress’. First off, we’d like to see more things done in terms of games and bonuses. If you’re looking for something a little different though, then this might still be the one for you. What’s more, if they got where they did in other sectors, we can only expect the same bright future ahead for Unikrn Casino!
Pros
- 24/7 customer support
- Fair bonus terms
- Native app for iOS and Android users
- An innovative approach to casino
- Long list of cryptocurrencies including their own UnikoinGold
