The Alderney Gaming Control Commission was founded back in May 2000. Its headquarters are located on one of the Channel Islands which are self-governed and are not part of South Africa but are under the Crown. Its main role is to ensure that the casinos which are licensed by Alderney operate in a fair manner and they protect the interest of the players. Casinos that are licensed by Alderney are audited regularly and on application for a license they are thoroughly checked to ensure they fulfill all requirements and are able to satisfy all standards.

Order comes from our own checks — licence, rand banking, bonus terms and the payout record. Some links are commercial and pay us a commission at no cost to you; that does not move a brand up the board. Online casino play is not licensed inside South Africa, so every operator here is regulated offshore. 18+, play within your means.
Licenses Offered by the AGCC
Alderney offers couple of types of licenses regarding the gambling industry. The types include:
- eGambling Licenses
- Associate certificates
- Hosting certificates
- Temporary egambling licenses
The commission has a database that serves as a register of all licensed and certified casinos. They are available to any member of the public, but only on a prior appointment. It is in both the commission’s and casino’s interest to operate in accordance with all world class standards. That way they both maintain good reputation and ratings. Should a casino fail to deliver to provide environment that gives the player fair conditions for gambling the license along with any other certifications are revoked by Alderney.
Mission and Objective
The commission has played a vital role in the development of the online gambling. The attempt to provide the players with a reliable environment for entertainment and gambling is a success. They thrive in protecting the young and vulnerable from gambling. Their ultimate and utmost target is to ensure that all online gambling is conducted fairly and honestly. All activities must be in accordance with world class standards and in compliance with good governance.
Another objective of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission or AGCC is to ensure that all online gambling entities are free from criminal influences; this includes but is not limited to the management, funding and the operation of a given casino.
